Your first question may be a little old, look at the options, 100 is the next response because your question refers to the "day", today confirmed there are 280 stars with planets in orbit (329 planets in total, which means that Some of these stars for more than one planet orbiting them are known).

Your second question is easily answered by Wikipedia.

Regarding your third question, most are more massive than Jupiter, and have very short orbital period of the Kepler's laws, that is, they are very close to its star. The reason probably not because they are frequent, but our detection methods (see Swing ") are limited and the star (massive planet around the star and therefore very fast orbitng) will create a world easier, the oscillation in more distant or less massive to recognize.
